As a AI Engineer (d/m/w) at Airbus, you will contribute to Business Support & Improvement at the Finkenwerder site in Hamburg. The role combines data analysis, artificial intelligence and business process improvement to enable informed decisions and measurable business excellence.

Your tasks:

• Extract and integrate structured and unstructured data from various databases and data stores based on data models provided by IT.
• Develop, test and implement analytical models that identify relevant patterns and trends in complex data sets.
• Evaluate model accuracy regularly and refine analytical approaches in line with business requirements and customer needs.
• Translate analytical findings into clear, audience-specific data visualizations that support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Act as the interface between business functions, the data ecosystem and requested analytical solutions.
• Promote a data-driven mindset by coaching functions in the practical use of data and AI, including KI and AI/LLM-related applications.
• Contribute findings, methods and best practices to the wider data community and support continuous improvement through Lean management and Prozessmanagement.
• Coordinate activities with stakeholders across IT, Informationssysteme, Supply Chain, Lieferkette and Logistics to ensure that analytical solutions address concrete business needs.

Voraussetzungen:

• Completed university degree, ideally in Informatik, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Wirtschaftsingenieur or Betriebswirtschaft, at least at Bachelor level.
• Practical experience in IT, Informationssysteme and Data-Analysis, including the ability to understand technical concepts and business requirements quickly.
• Knowledge of Python and experience with analytical methods, data modelling or the interpretation of complex data sets.
• Understanding of artificial intelligence, KI and AI/LLM technologies, with the ability to assess their potential for business applications.
• Experience or sound knowledge in Projektmanagement, Supply Chain, Lieferkette or Logistics is advantageous for understanding cross-functional processes.
• Knowledge of Lean management and good Kenntnisse in Prozessmanagement to identify improvement opportunities and support sustainable implementation.
• Strong communication skills for working effectively with stakeholders at different levels and for presenting analytical results in an understandable way.
• Independent, structured and results-oriented working style, with reliable coordination of workflows and timely achievement of objectives.
• Business-fluent English is required; German language skills are advantageous. Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Skywise or Tableau, as well as Google Workspace, is beneficial.
